a little haul

okay so i havent posted in FOR-EVER. so im gonna post a haul, and some prom make up looks i did :)
my computer is an idiot and i cant see what pics are where its all just words, so Ill just explain the pics, the pink straightener i bought today at winners.. came with a mini and a full size heats to 450degrees.. was.. 50 bucks! so cheap, and looks how tiny the mini is its so funny haha. Make up brushes (elf brand), from the dollar store again so impressed with that cheap find haha. Last is a shimmer lotion, smell is decent however i find the amount of shimmer isnt enough for me, esp for 10 bucks.

Potential prom gel nails

So my prom dress is fuchsia with zebra print throughout ( I'll put a pic once its finished being made) and tonight I decided to try out a nail I might do for it..
Its kinda hard to see the nail because its nighttime and my lighting is bad but its zebra print on the corner then 3 gems (black, fuchsia and silver) going up on the other side.

Gel nails

My kit came in and theyre actually harder than I thought to do! But Im trying haha. I tried to do just a glitter tip but i ended up getting glitter everywhere so it doesnt look great but oh well.. then I added a little black bow to one of my fingers.

Ebay is my favorite, gel nail kit, pink uv light, rhinestones and nail art, and necklace! I make my money stretch on ebay hahaha

Update.

So recently my insurance went up to 250 dollars a month which is insane because I'm only able to work part time right now because of school. It was a real set off for me but its just something ill need to get through I suppose. However, I had some good luck.. or hopefully. I was looking on jobs on kijiji and I saw an add calls models wanted (I live in a smallish city in Canada, so modeling isn't big here.) so I replied to it thinking whatever its worth a shot. Anyways the photographer happened to be from the UK and he recently moved here and wants to make photography a full time thing so hes looking for new models and he said he'd be really intersted in me modeling for him, also he said he wants me to be his make up artist and even maybe make it full time for me. I really hope things go well, hopefully he's not some creepshow haha. Anyways thats all thats new and exciting and I thought I would share :)

Mad as a hatter

I finally took my acrylics off (I ordered a gel nail kit and pink uv lamp and I wanted atleast a week for my nails to get healthy again before putting gels on) so my nails are all short and stumpy and brittle :(

Anyways today at Co op the manager was doing her nails with two OPI colors "Mad as a Hatter" and a light grey ish purple I forget the name. So I painted my nails and I LOVEE Mad as a hatter! It's such a nice glitter. I think Im gonna buy one so that I can do tips with it. I took a picture but its with flash because its nighttime and the picture doesnt do it justice AT ALL. But you'll get the idea.

I love products that work.

I started my co op (its a class in school where you go to a workplace youre interested in and work with them for a few months) the other day and Im doing it at a salon. Since im not getting paid they were nice enough to let me get their discount. I dont have alot of extra cash right now but theres one thing that caught my eye and it was only 4 bucks with the discount that I really thought I could use.
Its this nail cream and its an intensive protein treatment but it's made for horses originally. Its called healthy hoof. After just one use I noticed a different my nails feel harder and feel alot smoother as if i buffed them. I love that its a cream because i haate needing to wait for a nail hardener thats like a nail polish form to dry. Also you dont need much at all so it will probably last me forever. The smell is alright, its familiar. I cant quite figure out what it smells like but it reminds me of mint and something else. Anyways id recommend it!! :)
